Terms of Service
Master Locksmith · Springfield, Missouri · Updated October 9, 2026
DRAFT for attorney review. This is not legal advice.
Attorney review: the operator is named “Master Locksmith,” but the business is Master Locksmith Services, and a different Master Locksmith operates in St. Louis, MO. Confirm the exact legal entity name.
Attorney review: some Terms clauses make the app itself the liable or contracting party rather than the operating business. Correct those clauses.
These terms are a plain-English draft for Master Locksmith Pro, operated by Master Locksmith in Springfield, Missouri. Have an attorney review them before they are published. They are not legal advice.
Professional Use Only
Master Locksmith Pro, and every database entry, chat room, Safes area, photo, document, and other piece of content in it, is provided solely for licensed or professional locksmith use. The only people who may use it are locksmiths whose accounts are verified and in good standing, and, for the Safes area, Safe Techs whose Safe Tech approval is also in good standing. A person who has not been approved, or whose verification or Safe Tech approval has been refused, suspended, or revoked, is not allowed to use the information.
“Lawful locksmith work” means work a customer, or someone with real authority over the property, vehicle, or safe, has asked you to do, and that you are allowed to perform under the locksmith licensing and business laws of the state and the city where the job is. Before you rely on anything in this app, you are responsible for confirming that authority. That includes asking for proof of ownership or other authority in the way a careful locksmith would, and refusing the job when the proof is missing or does not add up. The app does not check the customer for you, and it does not decide that a particular job is legal.
You may not share your account, your password, a signed-in device, or content from the app with anyone who is not a verified user of Master Locksmith Pro. You may not read material aloud to an unverified person, hand them your phone, or let them watch a screen that shows database, chat, or Safes content. You may not copy, scrape, bulk-download, republish, or redistribute the database, the chat, the Safes material, or any other content, whether you are paid for it or not. A screenshot, a forward, or a retype of Safes material is not allowed. What you learn here is for your own lawful jobs.
Prohibited Uses
You may not use the app, or anything you learn from it, to enter a building, a vehicle, or a safe when you do not have the owner’s authorization. You may not use it for burglary, for theft of a vehicle, or for theft of what is inside a vehicle or a safe. You may not defeat, bypass, or open a lock, an alarm, an immobilizer, or a safe without the consent of the owner or of someone with lawful authority over it.
You may not help anyone else do those things. Help includes a chat post, a private message, a phone call, a job-site suggestion, or handing over an account so another person can look. You may not use the app to stalk or harass anyone, or to find a person who has not asked you for locksmith work. You may not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise resell information from the app. You may not train a person who is not a locksmith to use the information, including an employee who has not been verified in this app.
You may not try to get around the app’s protections. That includes Safe Tech gates, verification review, the paywall, access logs, blocks, and the filters that reject secrets such as key codes and safe combinations. You may not submit false, altered, expired, or borrowed business documents, licenses, insurance papers, or references in order to open or keep an account or a Safe Tech approval. If you are not sure a use is lawful locksmith work, do not do it.
Consequences of Misuse
If Master Locksmith believes you have broken these terms, or used the app for a prohibited purpose, it may suspend or terminate the account immediately. Subscription fees already paid are not refunded because of that termination. Verification and Safe Tech approval may be revoked at the same time. Paying again, or creating a new account, does not restore them.
Master Locksmith may report the conduct to law enforcement and to the state or local licensing board that regulates locksmiths where you work. The account, the verification file, the terms acceptance, and the record of what was opened or posted may be preserved for that report and for any investigation or case that follows. You will not be given a chance to delete those records first.
You may be civilly liable for harm caused by the misuse, including harm to a customer, a property owner, or an insurer. Where the law allows it, you may also be subject to criminal prosecution under applicable federal and state law. Master Locksmith may seek recovery of its damages, costs, and attorney fees from you where a statute or a court permits that recovery. Closing the account does not waive any of these remedies.
User Responsibility and Indemnification
You are solely responsible for how you use the app and for every job you do with what you learn here. On every job you must verify that the customer, or the person directing the work, has authority over the property, vehicle, or safe, and that the work complies with state and local licensing law. Master Locksmith Pro does not send you on jobs, does not supervise the work, and does not insure the outcome.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Master Locksmith Pro, its owner, and its affiliates against claims, demands, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, and attorney fees arising out of your use of the app, your misuse, your violation of these terms, or your violation of the law. That includes a claim by a customer, a property owner, an insurer, another locksmith, or a government office. You will not settle a claim in a way that admits fault by Master Locksmith Pro unless it agrees in writing. An attorney should confirm the scope of this indemnity before these terms are published.
Records, Monitoring and Cooperation with Law Enforcement
The app keeps an access log. It records when you view a database entry, and it marks a safe entry as a safe view. It records when you open a make page and when you post in the Safes room. Scrolling a list is not recorded. Chat messages, including Safes room activity, are stored as described in the privacy policy. Your terms and privacy acceptance is stored as its own record: the terms version, the privacy version, the time, the app version, and the platform. Admins can read these records. You cannot edit or delete a row.
Verification document files are kept for the life of the account and for 5 years after the account is closed or deleted (attorney to confirm). The verification record itself, the terms and privacy acceptances, and the access log are kept after deletion for legal compliance and for disputes or claims. Profile details, shop jobs, Safe Tech files, and chat photos are removed as the privacy policy describes. Keeping the legal records is intentional. It is how Master Locksmith can show who was verified and what they opened.
Master Locksmith may disclose these records in response to valid legal process, including a subpoena, a court order, or a search warrant. It may also disclose them when it believes in good faith that disclosure is needed to prevent imminent harm to a person or to property. It may preserve records when law enforcement or a court asks that they not be deleted, including records that would otherwise age out. You agree to cooperate with a lawful investigation of misuse of the app, and not to destroy evidence of that misuse that is still in your control.
Disclaimer
The information in the app is a reference for working locksmiths. It is community notes and admin-published notes. It is not a manufacturer instruction, a safe-opening procedure, or a promise that a method will work. Example pages are labeled as placeholders until an admin publishes a note. The app is provided as-is and as available.
Master Locksmith Pro does not guarantee that any note, tool name, year range, chip description, or procedure is accurate, current, or complete, or that it fits the vehicle, lock, or safe in front of you. You must use your own professional judgment on every job. You must look at the vehicle or the lock yourself before you cut or program a key or work on a safe. If a note conflicts with what you see, trust what you see and your own training.
Master Locksmith Pro is not liable for your actions, including an entry, a repair, a lockout, a missed job, or harm to a customer or anyone else. To the extent the law allows, it is not liable for lost profits or other damage arising from use of the app or from reliance on a note. An attorney should replace this limitation with the wording the business wants before publication.
Acknowledgment
By creating an account, by checking the agreement box, and by continuing to use the app, you confirm that you have read these terms and the privacy policy, that you understand them, and that you agree to them. You confirm that you will use the information only for lawful locksmith work, and that you understand a violation may be punished under civil and criminal law. You also understand that Master Locksmith may suspend or end the account and may report the conduct, as the Consequences of Misuse section describes.
If the terms version changes, the app asks you to agree again the next time you open it, and you may not continue until you do. The agreement is stored: the terms version, the privacy version, the time, the app version, and the platform. Admins can read that record. It is kept after the account is deleted, together with the access log, so there is a record of what you accepted and what you opened.
The service
Master Locksmith Pro is a locksmith-only app with a key reference database, topic chat, and a private shop calendar. Makes and model years are public brand facts. Key details are community notes or admin-published notes. They are not manufacturer instructions, and example pages are labeled as placeholders until an admin publishes them.
You are responsible for the work you do on a job. Check the vehicle or lock in front of you before you cut or program a key.
Who may join
You must be a locksmith applying on behalf of a real business. Create an account, upload business documents, and wait for an admin to approve you. We can refuse or close an account that is not a locksmith business, or that breaks these terms.
The database, chat, and calendar stay closed until you are approved and you have an active subscription or free trial. Admin accounts are not billed.
Subscription
The price is $29.99 per month, billed by Google Play as an auto-renewing subscription. New customers can start a 14-day free trial. The trial requires a payment method on file in Google Play. 14 days free, then $29.99/month. Cancel anytime in Google Play before the trial ends and you will not be charged.
After the trial, the subscription renews each month until you cancel. Manage or cancel the subscription in Google Play. Deleting your Master Locksmith Pro account does not by itself cancel the Play subscription.
If the subscription lapses, the database, chat, and calendar close and the paywall returns. We never see your card number. Admin accounts are not charged.
If your application is rejected, cancel in Google Play so the trial does not convert to a paid month. The app includes a link to manage the subscription.
Your content
You keep ownership of the text and photos you submit. You give Master Locksmith permission to store them, show approved database entries and chat posts to other verified subscribers, and moderate them.
Database submissions from locksmiths wait in a moderation queue. Admin edits to the catalog publish immediately. Lishi notes, tips and tricks, and manual programming steps are written by admins only. A locksmith submission cannot set those fields.
Do not post anything you do not have the right to share.
Prohibited content
You may not post automaker key codes, PINs, security codes, bitting or code-to-cut data, or immobilizer or transponder secrets. A procedure may say that a PIN is required. It must never include the PIN.
You may not post safe combinations, reset or override codes, or drill-point or bypass specifications. You may not import or paste commercial catalog data, including UHS, Ilco, Strattec, InstaCode, or Silca, or data copied from another app.
You may not post customer names, addresses, license plates, VINs, or serial numbers in chat or in the key database. Shop jobs stay on your account.
We may remove content, reject a submission, or close an account that breaks these rules. You can report an entry or a message, and you can block another member.
Shop jobs
Customer details you type into a job are private to your account. You are responsible for having a lawful reason to store that customer’s name, phone, email, and address, and for deleting jobs you no longer need.
Account deletion
You can delete the account in the app under Profile → Delete account. You can also email joshuabritt.mls@gmail.com if you cannot open the app. Deletion removes the profile, shop jobs, Safe Tech files, and chat photos described in the privacy policy. Verification records, verification document files that are still inside the retention window, terms acceptances, and access logs are kept for legal compliance and for disputes or claims. Some chat messages and published database entries may remain with the account detached. Cancel the Google Play subscription in Google Play.
