DRAFT for attorney review. This is not legal advice.
Attorney review: the operator is named “Master Locksmith,” but the business is Master Locksmith Services, and a different Master Locksmith operates in St. Louis, MO. Confirm the exact legal entity name.
Master Locksmith, in Springfield, Missouri, operates Master Locksmith Pro, a locksmith-only app. This draft explains what the app collects, who can see it, and how to delete it.
Who the app is for
Master Locksmith Pro is for working locksmiths. You create an account, upload business documents, and an admin decides whether to approve you. The key database, chat, and shop calendar open after you are approved and you have an active subscription (including the free trial).
The app is not for the general public, and it is not directed at children.
Account information
When you sign up we store your name, business name, city, email address, and phone number. You may also enter an optional NASTF VSP number or ALOA member id. Your password is handled by the sign-in service. We do not keep a copy of the password in the app.
We store your verification status, Safe Tech status if you apply, and whether the account is an admin.
Business verification documents
You upload documents that show you operate a locksmith business, such as an LLC filing, a business license, or a state locksmith license. You may also enter a license number, the state that issued it, and the expiry date. Those files sit in a private storage area. Other locksmiths cannot open them. Admins open them to decide your application and, if there is a dispute, to show what was on file.
The files stay while the account is open, and for 5 years after the account is closed or deleted (attorney to confirm). After that window the file is deleted. The verification record is kept permanently: identity, license number, license state, license expiry, the decision, who approved or rejected it, and the timestamps.
Safe Tech documents
Safe Tech is an optional second check for locksmiths who want the Safes area. If you apply, we store the document you upload, the reference name and contact you enter, your years of experience, and a short description. Those files are private to admins. They are removed when you delete the account.
Chat messages and photos
Verified subscribers can post messages in topic rooms and can attach a photo. Other approved subscribers in that room can read them. The Safes room is limited to locksmiths who also have Safe Tech approval.
You can report a message or an entry, and you can block another member. A block hides that person’s messages on your device view. Admins moderate reports. Do not put customer names, addresses, license plates, VINs, or serial numbers in chat or photos.
Jobs and customer details
The calendar is your shop’s. Jobs you enter can include a customer name, phone number, email, address, vehicle, and the notes you type. That information is visible only to the account that created it. Other locksmiths do not see it, and it is not posted to chat or the key database.
Google Calendar sync is not connected yet.
Subscription
The plan is $29.99 per month after a 14-day free trial for new customers. Google Play bills the subscription. You start the trial with a payment method on file in Google Play. We never see your card number, bank account, or the full payment method.
RevenueCat tells our server whether the subscription is in a trial, active, cancelled, or expired, and when the current period ends. We store that status against your account id. Cancel in Google Play. Admin accounts are not charged and do not see the paywall.
Crash reports and diagnostics
This version of the app does not include a crash-reporting or analytics SDK. We do not send a diagnostics log from the app to our database.
Google Play may still collect Android vitals, such as crash and “app not responding” reports, under Google’s own terms. If we later add a crash tool, this policy will be updated before that build ships.
Who processes the data
Supabase processes accounts, the database, file storage, and the server function that records subscription status. It is a processor for Master Locksmith. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Google Play processes the subscription payment. RevenueCat processes the purchase status and links it to your account id. Those companies handle the data to run the app, not to market to you on our behalf.
Access log
When you open a database entry, the app records that view. Safe entries are marked as safe views. A post in the Safes room is recorded. Opening a make page is recorded. Scrolling a list is not recorded.
The log stores your account id, the action, what you opened, and the time. Admins can read it. You cannot edit or delete a row. It is kept after the account is deleted so Master Locksmith can show who was verified and what they opened if information is misused.
How long we keep it
Account information, chat, database entries, and shop jobs stay until you delete them or you delete the account, except for the cases below.
Verification document files stay for the life of the account and for 5 years after the account is closed or deleted (attorney to confirm). The verification record, terms and privacy acceptances, and the access log are kept after deletion for legal compliance and for disputes or claims.
Deleting the account removes the login, the profile, shop jobs and the customer details on them, Safe Tech files, chat photos you uploaded, saved items, blocks, and the subscription status we stored. It does not remove the verification record, a verification document that is still inside the 5-year window, a terms acceptance, or an access-log row. Cancel the Google Play subscription separately. Google keeps its own purchase records under Google’s rules.
Messages you already posted may remain so the conversation still makes sense, with your account detached. The name stored on the message can remain until a moderator removes the message. Database entries you contributed may remain, with your account detached, because other locksmiths rely on them. A moderator can remove an entry.
Deleting your account
In the app, open Profile and tap Delete account, then confirm. That is the fastest way. If you cannot open the app, email joshuabritt.mls@gmail.com from the address on the account and ask us to delete it. We will complete email requests within 30 days.
The Delete your account page explains the same steps for the Play Console deletion URL.
Moderation and prohibited content
Admins review new locksmith applications, Safe Tech applications, and database submissions before they are published. You can report an entry or a message, and you can block a member.
Do not post automaker key codes, PINs, security codes, bitting or code-to-cut information, or immobilizer or transponder secrets. If a programming step needs a PIN, say that a PIN is required. Never type the PIN itself. Do not post safe combinations, reset or override codes, or drill-point instructions. Do not copy commercial key catalogs (including UHS, Ilco, Strattec, InstaCode, or Silca) or another app’s data. The server rejects text that looks like those secrets.
Children
The app is a business tool for locksmiths. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, email joshuabritt.mls@gmail.com and we will delete it.
